Basketball Practice Planner · Nolino Labs · Last updated 18 September 2026

Basketball Practice Planner is an app for basketball coaches. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the app stores, what leaves your device, and what we never do.

The short version. There are no ads, no tracking, and no third-party analytics in this app. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers. Most of what you create stays on your own device.

What stays on your device

The app keeps this in your device's local storage — it is not uploaded anywhere:

Uninstalling the app, or clearing the browser's site data, deletes this permanently. We cannot recover it for you.

What is stored in the cloud

The Android app asks you to sign in before it opens. In a web browser, an account is only needed if you want to share practices. Data is stored on Supabase (our database provider, hosted in the EU). This may include:

Share links are public by design: anyone holding the link can open that practice without signing in. Only share links with the people you intend to reach.

Signing in with Google

If you choose Continue with Google, Google tells us your email address, your name, a link to your Google profile picture and an account identifier. We use the email address to run your account. The app does not show or use your name or picture; they are stored with your account only because Google sends them, and they are deleted together with it. We never see your Google password and get no other access to your Google account.

AI features

When you use "Build with AI" or chat with Coach AI (the assistant inside the app), the text you type is sent through our own server to Anthropic, which generates the response. Your email address and account identifiers are not sent with it. The text is used only to produce your answer — not to train models and not for advertising. Avoid typing personal details about players into the AI chat; it is not needed to build a practice.

Videos

Drill videos play through embedded YouTube players. When a video loads, YouTube receives the request and applies Google's privacy policy. We do not control that.

Player data and minors

This app is made for coaches, who are adults. It is not directed at children. A coach may enter a young player's name and jersey number to build a roster — please enter the minimum needed, and get consent from parents or your club where that is required. Player photos never leave the coach's device. Players who open a shared practice link are not asked to sign up and no account is created for them.

What we count

Your AI practices. When you are signed in and build a practice with AI, our server adds one to a count of how many AI practices your account has built. This is how the free allowance works. The count is stored against a one-way, salted fingerprint of your email address, never the address itself, and nothing else is stored with it: not what you asked for, not when. It is kept even if you delete your account, so that the free allowance cannot be reset by deleting and signing up again. The fingerprint cannot be turned back into your email address. If you want it removed, email us from that address and we will delete it.

An anonymous tally. Separately, the app tells our server which number the practice is for your device (your 1st, your 7th), and the server adds one to "how many devices have built a 7th practice". That tally carries no identifier at all. We use it to decide how much of the AI to keep free.

What we do not do

Permissions the app asks for

Microphone. Only when you record a coaching clip — the app captures your voice as narration over the play you drew on the tactical board. The recording is written to your own device and is never uploaded to us. Nothing is recorded until you press record, and the app does not listen at any other time.

Storage and media. Only when you save a recorded clip or attach a player photo.

Decline either one and the rest of the app keeps working normally.

Keeping and deleting your data

Cloud data is kept while your account exists. You can delete the account yourself, at any time, from inside the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. That permanently removes your account, your team and roster, every practice you shared and the focus notes you sent — shared links stop working straight away. It cannot be undone, and we keep no copy.

If you would rather we did it, email the address below. To delete data held only on your device, uninstall the app or clear site data in your browser.

Security

All traffic runs over HTTPS, and database access is restricted per account by row-level security rules. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
